After acquiring Royal Victoria Place, British Land aimed to modernise wayfinding using digital displays, reducing customer reliance on paper maps and enhancing tenant contracts through advertising space for retailers. We designed and fabricated 12 double-sided digital wayfinding totems, each housing two 32-inch PCAP touch screens from Advanced Display Technology. These wayfinding totems, built to British Land RVP brand guidelines, feature commercial media players to power the screens. This setup allowed for remote updates to accommodate changes in retailer locations. Innovative touch screen digital displays provide dynamic information for customers to effortlessly navigate multiple floors, transforming customer interaction within the space. Corian material was used across all signage, ensuring durability and a tactile aesthetic that aligned with the design intent.
